 The wild dog pups have also been spotted finally! Sadly a marauding pack of 37 from the north came to the den about a month ago and we heard a big fight there. There are only 4 pups remaining so we assume the visiting pack killed the rest (we would normally expect a litter of 10-15 pups).

 A really fun and interesting activity at Sosian for adults and children is our camera trap; you put it up opposite something random or something that might be exciting e.g a hyena den and the camera detects any movement and takes a photo. Then you take it back to camp and download the photos, sometimes all you see is a beetle or blade of grass blowing in the wind. Other times you see some surprising things and unusual species which are hard to see in other places...
